Introducing our lineup of standard* work boat propellers.

*Warning: our propellers are far from standard. With each propeller you get decades of engineering know-how and manufacturing expertise.

  • D Style

When we talk to owners about operating in brownwater, the most common word we hear is tough. The river is tough. Debris is tough. Groundings are tough. Staying on schedule is tough. Equipment needs to be tough. That’s why we engineered our D-Style work boat propellers to be tougher.

The D-Style has unmatched performance for highly loaded vessels that have draft limitations such as river towboats and push boats.  The design minimizes cavitation while maintaining the thrust that you need to get the job done.

    • Available in 4 or 5-blade configurations up to 150”

    • Available in Bronze, Ni-Al-Br and CF-3 Stainless Steel

    • Blade Thickness Fraction: 0.054

    • Standard DAR is .82-.89 in 4-blade and .95-1.05 in 5-blade

    • Custom configurations available

  • Advantage

The Advantage was designed with a couple of key traits in mind: efficiency and vibration mitigation. The optimised pitch distribution and non-linear blade skew result in an open propeller that operates with substantially lower vibration levels, both through the hull and up the shaft-line.

When your bottom line is dictated by your fuel bill, you can count on the efficiency that’s built into every Advantage Series propeller.

    • Available in 3, 4 or 5-blade configurations up to 150”

    • Available in Bronze, Ni-Al-Br and CF-3 Stainless Steel

    • DAR from .60 to 1.20

    • Custom DAR / blade width available

    • Custom hub and weights available

    • Variable pitch

  • WorkWheel

The HS WorkWheel is specifically designed for displacement vessels operating at less than 16 knots; such as tug boats, pushboats and a variety of utility vessels. This high-thrust propeller has a semi-elliptical blade outline with constant pitch and no skew. This provides excellent ahead thrust and maximum backing ability. The blade sections are standard ogival shapes with flat pressure faces allowing for easy measurement and repair. The blades are extremely robust with generous edge and tip radii to avoid damage from debris.

    • Available in 3, 4 or 5-blade configurations up to 150”

    • Available in Bronze, Ni-Al-Br and CF-3 Stainless Steel

    • BTF: 30”-50” = 0.045, 51”-70” = 0.048, 71”+ = 0.050

    • DAR <60”: 4-blade is .70, 5-blade is .875

    • DAR >60”: 4-blade is .62, 5-blade is .775

    • Custom blade widths available

  • Kaplan

HS Marine’s Kaplan propeller has been designed for use in ducted applications. With a large tip chord length, the Kaplan propeller design develops substantially more thrust than a conventional, open propeller of the same size. This propeller is at home on boats operating at slower speeds where maximum thrust is the prime objective. Shrimpers, tugs, supply boats and more realize the advantage of running Kaplans that generate the thrust and efficiency needed for the job.

    • Available in Bronze, Ni-Al-Br and CF-3 Stainless Steel

    • Available in 3, 4 or 5-blade configurations up to 150”

    • Custom configurations available

    • Available standard or skewed

    • DAR for 4-blade is .55 or .70

    • Custom blade widths available

  • SuperCrew

The SuperCrew is a medium-speed propeller that has been engineered to run with ease under heavy loading where efficiency and vibration reduction are top priorities. If your prime mission is to move crews and widely varying loads as quickly as possible, the SuperCrew is a great propeller to consider. We’ve developed the blade sections with thicker roots to absorb big horsepower, yet they’re able to maintain the efficiency that operators expect for their fleet. The SuperCrew has been designed to prevent cavitation at the root of the propeller blades, resulting in fewer visits to the prop shop.

    • Available in 3, 4 or 5-blade configurations up to 60”

    • Available in Bronze, Ni-Al-Br and CF-3 Stainless Steel

    • DAR for 3-blade is .62

    • DAR for 4-blade is .83

    • CNC finish available

    • Custom sizes and blade widths available

  • N.A.P.

The N.A.P. propeller was developed with a high-level of performance and maneuverability in mind. This design is based on the well-known and widely used Wageningen B-Series propellers. Designed for displacement vessels, the N.A.P. is perfectly suited for offshore supply vessels, fishing vessels and other work boats. The blade’s thick foil sections and generous hub dimensions provide outstanding strength and damage resistance. Couple this with up to 10 degrees of rake and moderate skew and you have a very dependable, smooth, quiet propeller.
